Forgiveness - The Greatest Freedom

The greatest freedom you can earn for yourself is absolute forgiveness. Forgiveness is one of the most misconstrued words especially in religious context. Forgiveness does not erase an offense or its consequences and does not excuse people of whatever or however they have wronged you.Forgiveness makes you better not bitter.It frees you from pain, anger, resentment, bitterness, grudge or even seeking or taking revenge. Unforgiving spirits birth the opposite of all these. 

Forgiving someone does not guarantee automatic or continuous engagement with the person because an offense is often accompanied by betrayal of trust. Trust can only be earned, it's not a birthright.     Forgiveness cannot be forced on someone. For some, it's instant, for some, it takes a process and time depending on the circumstances and the spiritual maturity or understanding of what it means to forgive. 

However, forgiveness is something you do for yourself. Here's a gentle reminder - Mathew 6:14-15: ''For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses''

Mark 11:25-26 25 “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”

So is there anyone worth your prayers being hindered for? Pray for the Grace to forgive. Forgive those who have wronged you,offended you, hurt you even if they don't humble themselves to make amends.''Those who don't know the true value of loyalty can never appreciate the cost of betrayal'' #quote. Don't wait on it, Let Go, Let God and Move Forward. Remain #NurturedNotTortured. Be Inspired!
